Conquer Chiari Walk Across America A Huge Success!! On September 17th, more than 5800 walkers gathered at 47 locations across the country to raise their voices (and money) for Chiari. Conquer Chiari is very proud to announce that the Walk Across America raised over $395,000 for research! We will be issuing a call for research proposals early in 2012, and will of course post how the proceeds from the walk will be used to further our understanding of Chiari and improve the experiences and outcomes of Chiari patients. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone who participated, all of our corporate sponsors, our donors, and of course to our tireless Site Organizers. If there is not a walk in your area and you would like to organize one, we will be posting an announcement early in 2012 looking for new walk sites, so check our website frequently. The Conquer Chiari Walk Across America is a series of coordinated walks held on the same day across the country in order to raise awareness of Chiari, raise money for research, and to get people involved. It is our goal to have at least one walk in each of the 50 states. |
