Plano, TX

We couldn’t have ordered a more perfect, beautiful day to walk in Plano, Texas yesterday. The sun was shining, the wind was cool, temperature was in the low 80s and although we were at a public park, there were not a lot of other people there that were not involved in the walk.

We had approximately 100-120 people at the walk. We had a wonderful donation of a generator by a New York Chiarian’s brother who lives in Dallas. A sound system that played music while we walked. Shea Bristow, a 20yr old Chiarian who has had absolutely no improvement after two surgeries, wears a halo, has a service dog and is in a wheelchair most of the time was our featured speaker.

I had quite a few people who attended that have offered to help with next year’s walk, offers of connections to get more corporate sponsors, and all around additions to improve on the walk from this year.  I am very pleased at how our event turned out.
