I have had ACM1 since 1996. I developed SM sometime in 2000. I have had decompression x2, shunt revision x3, and several bouts of meningitis. I have nearly given up with the pain/depression. I am now on total disability. My neurosurgeon has left Johnstown. My wife has been pressuring me to seek a surgeon with Chiari experience in Pittsburgh. During my search I found your wonderful site. It has so much useful information. I do belong to Yahoo Chiari groups but that seems like a venting venue. Thanks for the great articles.
