This
month I am proud, and excited, to announce that Diane Mueller, ND, RN, C-FNP
has joined the Board of Directors of C&S Patient Education Foundation.
To say that Diane is qualified would be an understatement.
Diane achieved her Doctorate in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University
and has over 20 years of neurosurgical nursing experience. She is
currently with the University of Missouri, where she is a critical member of
the Chiari Clinic team.
In this role, Diane has treated hundreds of Chiari and syringomyelia patients
and has seen first-hand what these conditions can do to people.
Diane started her education in St. Louis, where she
received a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from St. Louis University. She
continued her education with a Master's Degree from California State
University, and is also a certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
In addition to her clinical duties, Diane is active in
researching Chiari as well. She is specifically interested in quality
of life issues and is currently involved in several research projects.
Her recent publication on the many symptoms of Chiari was the basis for the
single most popular Research Update of this publication (Large
Study Reveals Wide Range of Chiari Symptoms).
Given her talents, experience, enthusiasm, and compassion, I
have no doubt that Diane will be a valuable addition to our team. She
has already impressed the other Board members - after one meeting - with her
breadth of knowledge and her creative ideas, and will undoubtedly continue
to do so in the future.
So please join me in welcoming Dr. Diane Mueller to the
team and thank her for her hard work and dedication.
